This tutorial is to share you on how you can easily get a USA local phone number anywhere in the world without paying a dime.

Few days ago, I shared tutorial on how you can get UKNumber online without paying a dime, and since then I have been receiving series of messages asking how they could also get a free USA number.

This tutorial describes how you can easily get your free USA number, but this number is meant people with online business or online presence.

How to get started

Log on www.CallCentric.com and create a free account
You will be sent a confirmation message to verify your email address
Verify your email address, provide your city and code
Click on “agree terms and conditions” and then “Sign Up”
CallCentric will display a Virtual tour of their website after which you’ve been signed up. Just skip it and then go to “My CallCentric”
Another page loads up with a list of your CallCentric number in the format of 1777**___
Copy that number in your notepad or somewhere
Open a new tab, visit www.phone.ipkall.com, set your account type to SIP and paste the CallCentric number from the Notepad to the SIP username field
And in the host name, input in.callcentric.com and choose the same email address and password that you used while registering your CallCentric account
After some minutes, you will get a mail message from ipkall.com with your new US local number.
This email is not to be deleted because you will need this email to configure your SIP client
Now you’ve got you US number

How do I activate my US number?

To activate, download Express Talk and install on your computer. And make sure you don’t install any optional components, like toolbar and all during the set up
During the installation, choose default option for the wizard screen.
When you get to the “SIP set up” click “yes, I already have a SIP account” and click Next
Fill in the SIP details and finish set up.
Once your set up is completed, go back to your “My centric page” and refresh.
You Will receive a notification that your phone is registered

That’s all…

Note: it is advisable that you get your computer headset that comes with a microphone since all your call will be received on your computer.
