Mobile number portability is a platform introduced in Nigeria
in the year 2013, to make it possible for mobile phone users to change their
network without changing their phone number.
If you are a Glo, Airtel or Mtn Subscriber, you can
easily port to etisalat network without changing your Glo, Airtel or Mtn phone
number.
You can port from MTN, Glo or Airtel to Etisalat by
following the steps below.
How to Port
Etisalat
==> Walk in to any Etisalat experience centre with a valid
means of identification, photocopy of your id card and your phone number you
want to port to Etisalat
==> At the Etisalat experience centre, representative will
inform you to initiate the porting process by texting “port” to “3232”
==> After which the personal information required for the
porting will be obtained from you
==> After the whole process has been completed, you will be issued
a new etisalat sim card
==> If the porting is successful, your old sim card will stop
working (maximum 48hours) and you will start enjoying the new Etisalat sim card
issued to you without any change of phone number.
Note 1: Once your
posting is successful, you will be restricted from posting your number to a
third party network provider within 90days of port
Note 2: You
will lose all your contacts, sms, mms stored in the sim card as well a airtime
and bonuses on the sim. So, it is necessary you back up your sim card contacts
before porting.
Hope it helps...
